Why I Do This
From The Voice of Germany and the Karaoke World Championship to your wedding – because there’s no stage more beautiful than one for two people in love.
Where It All Started
I joined the church choir at five years old – and immediately knew: this is where I belong. What started as a childhood passion quickly became a calling. Voice lessons, school concerts, first competitions. Eventually I became the German Karaoke Champion and placed 3rd at the Karaoke World Championship. Later, I stood on the stage of The Voice of Germany. As the lead singer of Die Dicken Kinder, I play 30–40 gigs a year – from club shows to festivals. But the greatest applause? That never came from a jury.
The Moment That Changed Everything
A close friend asked me to sing at her wedding. I sang 'Make You Feel My Love' – and when I looked up, the bride was crying, the groom was crying, the maid of honour was crying, and honestly, so was I. In that moment I knew: this is it. No stage in the world compares to this feeling. The power that music has when people celebrate the most important day of their lives – I want to give that to every couple.
How I Work
Every wedding is different – and so should the music be. That’s why I don’t start with the song list, but with you. In a personal conversation I get to know you: How did you meet? What is 'your song'? What should your guests feel? From these answers, a musical programme emerges that feels like it was written just for you – because it was.
